This week, Mrs Khizar, Lybah and her group from 3BB found a muddy Dinosaur Swamp! They chose their favourite Dinosaurs and thought about different adjectives they could use to describe the Dinosaurs they picked. Challenge: Can you name your favourite Dinosaur and explain why you chose it?
Mrs Thomas this week also brought a selection of Moon Rocks and Asteroids. We all had a chance to look at the special collection.
On Tuesday, Mrs Thomas from the Science Lab visited us and brought a selections of different rocks. We found out that there are 3 different types of rocks! Last week we were practising our news reporting skills. We had found some artefacts in the school garden! We had different roles to take on for the reports; the anchor-man, the eye witness, the news reporter and the expert.
We have been looking at the ways Cave Men wrote and what the different symbols they used mean.
On Tuesday in our topic lesson we came up with a design for a Neolithic hut. We had to think about the different materials the Stone Age people had to use to build their homes. We used match sticks and card to create the walls and roof of our huts. Challenge: Where did Palaeolithic people live?
As part of our topic lessons we have been studying cave paintings. We have made a cave wall using paint and sand, and when it was dry using the black and white chalk we created our own cave art! Challenge: What animals did the cavemen paint?
